01 — How it began
One honest pitch
started the company.
Rehan wanted to build a company in Nepal around generative AI, beginning with video production and following real business problems wherever they led.
Miraj listened, challenged the idea, and agreed to build it with him. Rehan took responsibility for leading the team and building products. Miraj took responsibility for strategy, planning, and helping the company make sound business decisions.
Their first engagement came from an international client. The client's name and project details remain confidential, but the work gave a new team in Kathmandu its first external vote of confidence.
Starting from zero was difficult. Talent was hard to find, the team was small, and every process had to be built while client work was already moving. That experience shaped how Erys Labs works today: stay practical, be honest about constraints, and keep building.
